SUN METALON raises USD 5.6 million in pre-series A funding

 <p>Metal 3D printer manufacturer Titomic has successfully raised AUD 30 million (USD 30 million) from an institutional equity placement. This was achieved by issuing around 250 million new shares at AUD 0.12 (USD 0.08) per share. The placement was administered by Shaw and Partners Limited and co-lead managers included prominent companies such as Gleneagle Securities and Peloton Capital.</p>
 <p>The main aim of securing this fund is to facilitate Titomic's growth in the US market. The company has plans to set up a new operational headquarters and manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Funding will also be used for purchasing capital equipment, optimizing process programs, and catering to the working capital requirements.</p>

 <p>German firm BigRep has unveiled DRYCON, an industrial filament dryer for 3D printers that handle high-performance, flexible, and high-temperature materials. The machine can simultaneously dry, store, and anneal spools and parts.</p>
 <p>DRYCON features dual chambers capable of heating up to 180°C, an air exchange system that replaces humid air with fresh air, and four filament outlets for direct feeding into 3D printers. It can accommodate up to 36 kg of filaments, storing 16 spools of 1kg, eight spools of 4.5kg, or four spools of 8kg filament.</p>
 <p>BigRep asserts that its DRYCON device has the potential to enhance 3D print quality, diminish extrusion issues, and bolster the mechanical strength of 3D printed components.</p>
