Grafbase raised USD 5 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Grafbase, a serverless database solution, raised USD 5 million in seed funding led by Next47 with participation from Alven , Uncorrelated Ventures , and a number of angel investors. This round brings the company’s total funding to USD 7.3 million.

  • The company plans to use the funding to accelerate its product development and double its employee base.

  • Grafbase is a Swedish data platform that enables developers to serverlessly deploy GraphQL backends. Users can create a local GraphQL endpoint from their own terminals (Next.js, Remix, and Nuxt) with a complete backend that includes integrated application programming interfaces (APIs) and databases. The company operates across the EU and US with a team of remote developers. As of October 2022, the company claims that the platform has been used for “hundreds of projects” such as mobile, e-commerce, and Jamstack backends since it was launched in August of that same year.
