Perygee raises USD 4.75 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Perygee, an IoT security startup, has raised USD 4.75 million in a seed funding round led by Ballistic Ventures, with participation from BBG Ventures and several angel investors. Perygee’s total funding currently stands at USD 6.35 million.

  • The funds will provide a two-year runway for the company to validate the product with end users, build out a sales and marketing operation, and accelerate its growth and business operations.

  • Perygee also launched the self-service free tier of its platform, which provides tools to customize and manage IoT/OT data, dashboards, and workflows. The company currently manages 30,000 devices and has an employee headcount of seven.

  • Analyst QuickTake: During this month, other IoT/OT security startups have also raised funds. Cyolo secured an undisclosed amount from IBM Ventures, and SecuriThings raised USD 21 million in a Series B funding round, led by US Venture Partners (USVP).
