Joro, a B2C carbon offsetting app, has raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by existing investors Sequoia Capital and Amasia. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 13.5 million.
The company will utilize the funds raised for team expansion. Part of the proceeds will also be directed (from its existing focus on tracking carbon footprints) toward supporting people to take action against their carbon footprint.
The funding round was also supported by new investors Norrsken, Matt Rogers’ Incite (Nest’s co-founder), and lead guitarist of Incubus; Jay-Z’s Arrive and Mike Einziger.
