Roam, a cloud-based virtual office platform, emerged from stealth with USD 30 million in a Series A funding round led by IVP with participation from a group of undisclosed angel investors. The round, which follows Roam’s previously unannounced USD 10.6 million seed funding round brings the company’s total funding to USD 40.6 million and valuation to USD 95 million.
The fresh funds are to be funneled towards its go-to-market efforts in the US and other countries. Roam also plans to expand its headcount of 15 with five more employees by the end of 2022.
Founded in 2021, Roam pitches itself as a cloud-based virtual HQ for remote teams. The company aims to provide shorter and fewer meetings to improve productivity and decrease costs by enabling users to view all meetings happening across the organization at any time and move across meetings as necessary. Roam is currently operating a beta version of its platform on an invite-only basis and has ~40 corporate customers.
