Substack, an online newsletter publishing platform, has launched Substack Chat, a new feature that allows its creators to engage in conversations directly with their followers.
The feature which is currently available in Substack’s iOS app aims to facilitate natural conversations and build networks between creators and readers. The user interface is designed similarly to a traditional chat app and creators have moderation options to decide the tone, topic, and participants of the conversations.
Analyst QuickTake : Substack is hoping to capitalize on Twitter’s disruption following its acquisition by Elon Musk, which has caused several prominent users to leave Twitter in protest. Recently , Substack also openly reached out to creators on Twitter to bring their following to Substack.
