Chromatic 3D Materials introduced ChromaScan software for Printing Resin on 3D Objects

Product updates

  • Chromatic 3D Materials, a seller of 3D printers and related products, announced the launch of ChromaScan software, which allows manufacturers to print resin on non-planar surfaces—including metal, plastic, and textiles.

  • The software scans the object and manipulates the print path that conforms to the surface of the object. With this, manufacturers can reduce or eliminate post-printing requirements and improve efficiency in production as fewer labor and materials will be required.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The company seems to be more focused on offering solutions that require no or less post-printing. In September the company also introduced Smooth-Mode technology, a development that allows printing polyurethane parts without post-processing or surface finishing.
