Prado, an e-commerce platform for meal delivery companies, raised USD 5.75 million in seed funding led by Bonfire Ventures, with participation from Slauson & Co., January Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Bridge Investment Group, and Supply Change Fund.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its employee base and scale its platform to support more merchant partners.
Prado offers an ecommerce platform that enables restaurants and perishable food delivery companies to perform marketing, sales, fulfillment, and shipping operations. The company provides a tech stack that includes a wide range of tools for users to set up and manage online food delivery stores. These include tools for managing food delivery and customer support, automating kitchen operations, and creating marketing campaigns (including loyalty programs, promotions, and automated email/SMS). While offered primarily as a subscription service, the company also offers its enterprise users access to API data, a monthly account review meeting, and custom consulting.
