Parkopedia and SKODA partner to launch 'Pay to Park' in Europe

Geographic expansion

  • Parkopedia, a UK-based provider of web and mobile-based parking discovery, booking, and payment solutions, announced that it has partnered with SKODA, a Czech automobile manufacturer, to launch a new solution “Pay to Park” in Europe.

  • The Parkopedia-powered solution allows users to pay for parking using the MySKODA App or the infotainment system in their car. The service is now accessible in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Norway after undergoing pilot testing in Switzerland.

  • Additionally, the partners intend to roll out the solution across all of Europe in 2023, starting with France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The collaboration with SKODA complements Parkopedia's expertise in integrating its parking data and payment platforms into in-vehicle entertainment systems and mobile apps through relationships with automakers such as Volvo, Land Rover, Toyota, BMW, and Ford.
