Carbon Reform, a developer of direct air capture (DAC) technology for indoor air purification, raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by Azolla Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for team expansion, scale up its facilities, and deploy the first full-scale pilot units in commercial buildings. New investors Virya, Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Plug and Play Ventures, Gaingels, and Preston Schell also participated in the round.
Founded in 2020, Carbon Reform develops direct air capture (DAC) technology for indoor air purification in buildings. The company offers a modular retrofit device, the “Carbon Capsule”, that removes CO2 from indoor air and recirculates healthy indoor air for occupants. The Carbon Capsule integrates with existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
