Motional, an autonomous vehicle technology company established as a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv, laid off an undisclosed number of employees citing the need to reallocate resources to meet long-term commercial success.
The company has not provided any reason for the reallocation of resources but has mentioned its plans to continue hiring to develop its technology further and meet commitments to its partners.
As per sources, layoffs have affected dozens of employees (out of its current 1,500+ global headcount) across its operations.
