Trillium Renewable Chemicals, an Alabama-based bio-based chemical manufacturer, raised USD 10.6 million in a series A funding round with participation from Helm, Hyosung Advanced Materials, and Capricorn Partners.
The funding will be used to build a demonstration-scale plant for its catalytic biobased acrylonitrile process.
Analyst QuickTake: Trillium previously signed development agreements with Hyosung, an investor who took part in the funding round, to supply its products for the production of Carbon Fiber.
