Meat. The End (MTE), an Israeli plant-based meat startup, announced a purchase deal with a European machinery company valued at EUR 1.5 million (~USD 1.5 million) to advance its R&D operations and increase the production capacity of its plant-based meat alternatives.
As a part of this deal, the company plans to develop the first industrial line of extrusion-based texturized protein ingredient, while the unnamed European company will be providing assistance for R&D efforts.
Furthermore, the companies will work together on special machinery that utilizes machine learning and artificial intelligence for the development of raw materials required for alternative meat production.
