Fortius Metals raises USD 2 million in seed funding

 <p>Dutch company CEAD, specializing in robotic additive manufacturing, has introduced an industrial large-format 3D printer named Flexcube at the Formnext 2024 expo in Germany. The all-in-one printer is integrated with milling capabilities and includes a modular design for expansion up to 12 m, a Siemens Sinumerik ONE CNC controller for precise printing, and a three-plus-one axis system for 45-degree printing. Ready to operate continuously, the device comes fully assembled in one container with a requirement of 2.5 m ceiling height.</p>
 <p>Located in the Netherlands, CEAD offers innovative robotic 3D printing solutions in addition to components such as standalone extruders and printing beds for businesses and individuals to create their own industrial large-format 3D printers. The company's pellet extruders, which can be installed on existing systems like robots, gantry systems, and CNC equipment, come with a base unit that regulates temperature, extrusion speed, and automatic material transport. CEAD's print bed can be utilized for all thermoplastic printing materials. </p>

 <p>The Powershot X system provides both cleaning and surfacing solutions for parts produced using SLS, SAF, MJF, or HSS technologies. It allows users to choose between cleaning, surfacing, or a mix of the two. The revamped DM60 Reservoir is equipped with inbuilt sensors for accurate water tracking, which enables users to reuse dyeing water up to 12 times.  <p>Core One is priced at USD 1,199 and displays features such as a fully enclosed design, active chamber temperature control, a 360-degree cooling fan, a Nextruder with Loadcell sensor for layer detection, offline printing capability through Wi-Fi, and a 250 × 220 × 270 mm print volume. Prusa Research launches Core One 3D printer

 <p>Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing company, WAAM3D, has unveiled a new large-format metal 3D printing system, RoboWAAM XP. This system is integrated with Cranfield University's Cold-Wire Gas Metal Arc process and is specially designed for industries that need large-scale spare parts manufacturing.</p>
 <p>The new system comes with a 2 x 2 x 2 m-build envelope, a 2.1-ton payload capacity, and can achieve deposition rates reaching 15 kg per hour. The RoboWAAM XP system comprises an eight-axis motion system and a vision-based monitoring setup. It also includes integrated software solutions such as WAAMPlanner and WAAMCtrl and is compatible with materials like iron, aluminum, nickel, and copper alloys.</p>
 <p>WAAM3D states that the new technology can achieve nearly double material deposition compared to previous systems for the same energy input. Furthermore, it can provide improved process stability across various materials.</p>

<p>Carbon, a 3D printing technology company, has launched a new platform called EPU Pro. EPU Pro is a single-part, dual-cure elastomer resin designed for additive manufacturing, expanding Carbon's existing portfolio of materials which includes EPU 45 and EPU 46.</p>

<p>This new platform provides varying stiffness options, offering durometers ranging from 50A to 90A. EPU Pro is also incorporated with foaming agents, which enables it to produce suede-like textures, and features enhanced printability for complex shapes. Furthermore, EPU Pro is fully integrated with Carbon's Design Engine and Custom Production Software, opening up possibilitites for creating multi-zonal lattices and mass customization.</p>
