Einride, a Swedish tech developer for autonomous and electric trucks, raised USD 500 million in equity and debt financing. The company raised USD 200 million in Series C funding and secured a further USD 300 million in debt funding led by Barclays Europe. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 652.3 million.
The company intends to use the equity proceeds to fund geographical expansion into new and existing markets across Europe and North America. Part of the proceeds will also fund product development across Einride’s autonomous and digital offerings. The equity round was supported by new and existing investors including AMF, EQT Ventures, Northzone, Polar Structure, Norrsken VC, and Temasek.
Einride’s equity tranche includes a $90 million convertible note that was raised earlier this year. The USD 300 million in debt financing will be used for the deployment of a USD 150 million facility starting from January 2023.
