Komi, a UK-based landing page builder for creators and celebrities, raised USD 5 million in a seed funding round led by Contour Venture Partners. Red Light Music Management, Get Engaged Media, and angel investors like Mario Gotze (soccer player), Taylor Hill (former Victoria Secret model), Ben Lovett (musician from Mumford & Sons band), and Sven Ahrens (Director at Spotify) also participated in this round.
The company intends to use the funds to improve its platform and eventually release new fan engagement and monetization tools.
Launched in 2021, Komi provides content creators, musicians, athletes, celebrities, and other creative talent and personalities a central hub where they can customize a landing page that promote projects like podcast episodes, YouTube videos, music albums, etc. The startup partnered with platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch, and Shopify, enabling users to integrate all their content and products. In addition, Komi includes backend tools that allow users to collect data, such as total views, earnings, clicks, and average click-through rate (CTR). Komi is currently invite-only and has plans to open to the public in early 2023.
