Raven SR partners with Chart Industries for carbon capture and storage

Partnerships

  • Raven SR, a producer of hydrogen-rich syngas, has signed an MoU with Chart Industries, a manufacturer of highly engineered equipment for the energy and industrial gas sectors.

  • Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on global carbon capture, hydrogen liquefaction, and storage of CO2 and hydrogen by utilizing Raven SR’s patented, non-combustion Steam/ CO2 reformation technology.

  • Chart Industries will provide Raven SR with engineering packages and equipment to scale up Raven SR’s green hydrogen supply and CO2 as a byproduct.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this month, Raven SR was awarded EUR 1.7 million (USD 1.75 million) in grant funding from the European Commission to deploy a waste-to-hydrogen production facility in Aragon, Spain. The facility was expected to generate 1,600 tons of renewable hydrogen per year with commercial operations to begin in 2024 to fuel hydrogen-powered vehicles.
