Formlabs launches new products to facilitate high-volume 3D printing

 <p>AddUp, a provider of metal additive manufacturing solutions, has received the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Safety (AMS) Certification, making it the first original equipment manufacturer to do so. The process included an audit by the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) that assessed AddUp's facility based on various safety related factors such as PPE usage, machine installation, powder handling, waste disposal, and cleanliness protocols.</p>
 <p>AddUp worked with ASTM in the development of these safety protocols and guidelines for the certification program. Their Cincinnati Solution Center was used as a model facility for the purpose of the audit.</p>
 <p>The facility that has been certified incorporates a range of safety precautions including static control, prevention of oxygen exposure, fire suppression systems, dust mitigation, and controls for air quality. The facility retains compliance with ISO 9001, AS 9100, ITAR, and CMMC.</p>
