Formlabs launches new products to facilitate high-volume 3D printing

Product updates

  • Formlabs, a seller of 3D printers and related products, announced the launch of the “Automation Ecosystem” comprising three new products, 1) Form Auto, 2) High Volume Resin hardware packages, and 3) fleet control software.

  • The new system aims to increase printer use, enabling users to print parts and prototypes around the clock.

  • Product-wise, with this introduction Form Auto, includes automatic part removal capabilities, a high-volume resin system that increases resin capacity by 500%, and fleet control that improves the company’s existing software suite by introducing queue management and optimized workflows.

  • According to Formlabs, the new system increases productivity 3x, saves up to 80% on labor costs, reduces the cost per part by around 30%, and reduces packaging waste by up to 90%.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In October last year Formlabs partnered with 3DPrinterOS to bring 3D printer fleet management and cloud support capabilities to Formlabs’ printers enabling fully cloud-supported slicing capabilities. With cloud availability, customers were offered the ability to scale printing across a large number of printers and users.
