Snaptrude, a cloud-based collaborative building design platform, raised USD 6.6 million in a seed funding round co-led by Accel and Foundamental VC. The all-equity funding round was also joined by Possible Ventures, Clark Valberg (founder, InVision), RFC, CapitalX, and Thilo Konzok (co-founder, Home). The round brings Snaptrude’s total funding to USD 7.8 million.
The fresh funds will be allocated for the enhancements and growth of the company’s key product, which claims to offer automated intelligent Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions, along with real-time collaboration facilities.
Founded in 2017, Snaptrude claims to offer a cost-effective alternative to Autodesk in terms of Building Information Modeling (BIM), with a modern and wider set of features. The company claims Snaptrude can generate real-time data on the impact of changing construction size on cost, compliance, climate impact, and energy use. The platform, available in a freemium model, works on a browser and is said to support file formats, including DWG, RVT, IFC, SKP, FBX, PDF, and OBJ.
Snaptrude currently serves over 6,000 customers across more than 30 countries.
