ChargePoint, an NYSE-listed EV charging solutions provider, partnered with Mercedes-Benz, a luxury automaker, and MN8 Energy, a solar stationary power and renewable energy provider. Under this partnership, the companies aim to rapidly expand the availability of DC fast charging in North America through the development of over 400 charging hubs beginning in 2023.

ChargePoint will be providing more than 2,500 ChargePoint DC fast charging ports for the hubs while MN8 and Mercedes-Benz will jointly finance and operate them. 

The Mercedes-Benz charging hubs will be located in key cities and urban population centers, along major highway corridors and close to retail and service destinations. The charge points will be available to all EV drivers with Mercedes-Benz drivers provided with additional benefits including preferential access via reservation and automatic authentication functionality “Plug & Charge.”
