Wiliot, an Israeli sensing-as-a-service startup using IoT to connect manufacturers with their products throughout the supply chain, announced the launch of its Innovation Kit, which helps to track the location and temperature of a range of goods.

The Innovation Kit expands on Wiliot's Starter Kit (an IoT Pixel-ready coffee cup that features built-in item-level temperature monitoring) by including Wiliot IoT Pixels, which can sense temperature, location, and more and power themselves by harvesting radio waves.

The company claims that real-time sensing and product lifecycle traceability improve the safety and freshness of food, the security of medical supplies, and the accessibility of commodities and assets.
