TGS Esports signs definitive agreement to acquire Pepper Esports

M&A

  • TGS Esports, a Canadian esports company with interests in esports gaming centers and tournament management, announced the signing of definitive documents to acquire esports tournament platform Pepper Esports (PE) for approximately USD 6 million.

  • As a result of the transaction, all PE executives will be absorbed by TGS Esports. The acquisition provides TGS with an online platform offering it a new revenue stream. In addition, TGS will benefit from an expanded customer base through PE’s community tournaments.

  • Founded in 2018, TGS Esports owns Canada’s first esports arena, The Gaming Stadium (opened in 2019). TGS operates esports leagues, tournaments, and events at the facility.
