TGS Esports, a Canadian esports company with interests in esports gaming centers and tournament management, announced the signing of definitive documents to acquire esports tournament platform Pepper Esports (PE) for approximately USD 6 million.
As a result of the transaction, all PE executives will be absorbed by TGS Esports. The acquisition provides TGS with an online platform offering it a new revenue stream. In addition, TGS will benefit from an expanded customer base through PE’s community tournaments.
Founded in 2018, TGS Esports owns Canada’s first esports arena, The Gaming Stadium (opened in 2019). TGS operates esports leagues, tournaments, and events at the facility.
