AMPECO raises USD 16 million in funding

Funding

  • AMPECO, an EV-charging management platform from Bulgaria, raised USD 16 million in a Series A funding round led by BMW i Ventures. The latter invested USD 13 million during the round.

  • The funding will be used to further expand operations in North America and to grow the company’s engineering and production innovation teams.

  • Others who participated in the round include Launchub Ventures and Cavalry Ventures, among several angel investors.

  • AMPECO has developed an open platform that allows charging network operators to manage chargers at large scales and integrate hardware partners while operating under their brands. Furthermore, AMPECO’s solution is open to all types of EV charging providers, including those offering public, business, fleet, and residential charging. It can integrate with smart meters, building management systems, and renewable energy sources. The company has over 120 customers in more than 45 markets, representing over 62,000 charging points.
