ChargePoint and Stem partner on joint eMobility offering

Partnerships

  • ChargePoint, an NYSE-listed EV-charging solutions provider, has partnered with Stem, an NYSE-listed smart energy storage company. The two companies aim to accelerate the deployment of EV charging and battery storage solutions for highway corridor DC fast charging and other applications, such as fleet charging.

  • Under this partnership, ChargePoint will be analyzing EV-charging demand at potential charging locations and assessing their eligibility for incentive programs, such as the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEV). The company will then collaborate with Stem to determine if a battery energy storage system could reduce the location’s operating costs. Furthermore, the companies are aiming to integrate ChargePoint’s Express Plus advanced fast-charging platform with Stem’s clean energy platform, Athena, and on-site energy storage.

  • Through the combination of EV charging with battery storage and AI-driven energy management, the two companies aim to support EV site hosts with lower operating costs, added energy resiliency, and help them meet their ESG goals.
