Link-in-bio company Linktree announced new monetization features for creators and partnerships with e-commerce platforms SendOwl and Bonfire.
Monetization features include a “Buy Me a Gift” button on creators landing pages allowing users to donate to creators. The company partnered with SendOwl to enable creators to sell digital and physical products, such as audiobooks, videos, images, software, and memberships with the checkout process being hosted on SendOwl. The partnership with Bonfire allows creators to add a Bonfire storefront, which features custom apparel designs, to their Linktree. The company is also currently testing out a “Payment Lock” feature that lets creators paywall content.
Analyst QuickTake: The new monetization options come into play as Linktree seeks to aggressively maintain its position as a market leader in link-in-bio services, with Fanfix launching a link-in-bio platform in November 2022 . Further, the partnerships follow previous integrations with Bandsintown (a concert discovery platform, Community(audience engagement text messaging service), SoundCloud, and Audiomack in February 2022 .
