Australian plant-based meats producer, v2food, announced that it will incrementally close down its protein ingredient manufacturing facility in Wodonga over the next year.
Manufacturing is set to be transferred to other sites as the company will continue to develop new products. According to v2food, it will use third-party suppliers to procure necessary protein ingredients for production.
Opened in December 2020, the Wodonga facility was spread over 55,470 square meters and reportedly employed 25-30 workers, with room for expansion.
Alongside this news, the company also announced that Tim York (former COO of v2food) has been appointed as the new CEO, while former CEO, Nick Hazell, has transitioned away from an active role in the company to focus on startup opportunities.
