Link-in-bio tool Bento raised USD 1.6 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Sequoia Arc with participation from NextBlue and Gaingels Network.
Bento is seeking to roll out monetization options for creator and community-building features across its mobile and desktop platforms in the near future although it faces intense competition from other players in the market such as Linktree, Lightricks, and Streamlabs, including other smaller players in the space.
Bento, a new link-in-bio tool, is now accepting all users after being in closed beta for the last few months. The site allows users to add links to different pages and generate previews of them, making it easier to highlight specific parts of their work. Bento also plans to introduce widgets for donation acceptance and product offerings and will not take a cut from these donations initially.
