Roblox will be introducing its generative AI developer tools on its Roblox Studio to streamline the process of building experiences and virtual objects on its metaverse platform.
The tool is set to launch within the next two weeks and creates content based on text inputs, helping to onboard more content developers—particularly its younger demographic—to its platform. Roblox is also reportedly working on the integration of third-party AI creation services onto its platform.
Analyst QuickTake: The announcement eliminates the content creation learning curve on the platform, enabling faster creation of assets. This follows recent advancements in generative AI technology, including Wolf 3D's Ready Player Me platform launching trials for generative AI avatar creation in February 2023 .
