Stratasys posted an adjusted EPS of USD 0.07 in Q4, beating analyst consensus estimates of USD 0.02 per share and improving from an EPS of USD 0.1 per share in Q4 2021. For the full year 2022, the company recorded an EPS of USD 0.15 compared to the loss per share of USD 0.07 in 2021.
Q4 revenue declined 4.6% YoY to USD 159.3 million, however, it exceeded analysts' expectations by 1.3%. Meanwhile, 2022 full-year revenue increased by 7.3% YoY to USD 651.5 million.
Adjusted gross margin in Q4 slightly worsened to 48.4% from 48.7% in Q4 2021. The company recorded an adjusted operating income of USD 13.5 million compared to an adjusted operating loss of USD 1.7 million in 2021 due to the execution of strict cost control measures (adjusted operating expenses rose slightly by 2.3% YoY in 2022).
Stratasys guided for revenue in 2023 to reach USD 620–670 million, implying a decline of 5% for the lower end and a growth of 3% for the higher end. The company also expects to achieve an adjusted net income of USD 9–17 million translating to an EPS of USD 0.12–0.24 in 2023.
