Sulapac launches sustainable material for luxury fragrance caps

Product updates

  • Sulapac, a Finnish bioplastic packaging startup, launched Sulapac Luxe, a new bio-based material for fragrance bottle caps that substitutes hard plastics, including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), as part of its expanded portfolio for cosmetics and beauty packaging.

  • Sulapac Luxe is produced from industrially compostable materials. The material is claimed to have high density, resistance to temperature fluctuations, a ceramic feel and sound, and a glossy, smooth surface. Moreover, the company asserts that it is recyclable and can be manufactured using recycled materials.

  • Sulapac Luxe is commercially available to all manufacturers and the company states that it can be easily integrated into existing injection molding production lines.
