Sulapac, a Finnish bioplastic packaging startup, launched Sulapac Luxe, a new bio-based material for fragrance bottle caps that substitutes hard plastics, including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), as part of its expanded portfolio for cosmetics and beauty packaging.
Sulapac Luxe is produced from industrially compostable materials. The material is claimed to have high density, resistance to temperature fluctuations, a ceramic feel and sound, and a glossy, smooth surface. Moreover, the company asserts that it is recyclable and can be manufactured using recycled materials.
Sulapac Luxe is commercially available to all manufacturers and the company states that it can be easily integrated into existing injection molding production lines.
