The Climate Choice raises EUR 2 million in pre-seed funding

Funding

  • The Climate Choice, a German-based carbon intelligence platform for supply chains, has raised EUR 2 million (USD 2.1 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by Gutter Capital.

  • The company intends to use the proceeds to further develop and scale up the capabilities of its proprietary Climate Intelligence platform. New investor Possibilian Ventures also supported the round, alongside existing investors West Tech Ventures and other investors.

  • Founded in 2020, The Climate Choice proprietary platform supports companies to understand scope 3 emissions and to make comparisons across supplier emissions and practices. This allows companies to make better-informed decisions to decarbonize their supply chains. The platform is currently used by several early customers, including O2 Telefonica, a telecommunication provider, and HiPP, an organic baby food producer. The company further claims that it actively monitors thousands of suppliers.
