Chicago-based plant-based seafood startup Aqua Cultured Foods announced it will begin consumer tasting of plant-based seafood products ahead of its public launch. Starting April 6, the company will hold tastings of several plant-based seafood products, including Aqua tuna rolls, shrimp dumplings, and scallop crudo in Chicago.
The company intends to gather feedback on the products’ quality, taste, and texture compared to traditional seafood. Following the tasting, the products and menus will be fine-tuned and launched using chef and restaurant partners.
