Mighty Buildings, a California-based developer of prefabricated, single-family housing and accessory dwelling units (ADUs), has announced the opening of a new factory in Monterrey, Mexico.
The new Monterrey facility has the capacity to produce all the components for an entire home in a single day of production using the company’s 3D printing technology and unique composite materials.
With this, Mighty Buildings aims to expand operations in the Southern California region, beginning with Desert Hot Springs.
Analyst QuickTake: This new factory would support Mighty Buildings’ plans of expanding its B2B operations to enable housing developers to build sustainable housing communities at scale. The company had also previously announced plans to develop multi-story buildings by having at least a prototype multi-story offering by the end of 2022 or early 2023, which appears to be behind schedule.
