Railsr, a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) infrastructure provider, has appointed several new C-level executives, following the announcement last month that it has entered bankruptcy protection under new owner Embedded Finance Ltd.
Philippe Morel will take over the reins as the CEO of the business and boasts over 25 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining Railsr, Morel was the CEO of SETL, a blockchain-based settlements and payments firm.
Nick Charteris is appointed the COO of the firm and is rejoining Railsr after a year’s stint as a general manager at Crypto.com. Charteris served as the global head of operations at Railsr, prior to joining Crypto.com.
Railsr also appointed Debbie Lotz as its CFO. Lotz is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience, holding roles at several key global banks such as National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank, and the Royal Bank of Scotland, among others.
