ByteDance subsidiary Pico Interactive announced the launch of its VR headset, the Pico G3, priced at EUR 399 (~USD 440), which will be available for pre-orders from April 12th onwards.
The Pico G3 which weighs 604 grams, features a 4K display with a 98° field of view (FOV), a Snapdragon XR2 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5,300 mAh battery. The headset includes the Pico Business Suite, which offers customization capabilities, access to the Pico Business Store, and support from local sales teams. The Pico G3 is geared toward enterprises in the healthcare, education, training, and marketing segments, and aims to be used in one-off applications such as demonstrations and trade shows.
Analyst QuickTake: The Pico G3 is the fourth VR headset in the enterprise portfolio and follows the launch of the Pico 4 Enterprise in October 2022 , priced at ~USD 880. At its lower price point, the Pico G3 features a lower FOV and 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) tracking, while the Pico 4 Enterprise offers 6DoF spatial tracking.
