AML3D, an Australian developer of additive manufacturing solutions, signed an exclusive US value-added reseller agreement with Phillips Corporation, a manufacturer and sales partner to the US federal government including the US Navy, Air Force, and Army.
AML3D's sales team in the US will also collaborate with Phillips' federal sales division to jointly sell and utilize Phillips' well-established connections with the US Department of Defence (DOD).
Through the agreement, Phillips will earn a margin (the difference between sale price to the end customer and AML3D’s wholesale price). The agreement is renewable and valid for 18 months.
Analyst QuickTake: This news comes just two months after AML3D sold a large-scale ARCEMY X- Edition 6700 system to the US DOD through a procurement agent, in line with its US market entry strategy. Last month, it also entered a contract with the DOD for an alloy characterization and testing program supporting the US Navy submarine industrial base.
