Wamame Foods launches ‘Waygu’ plant-based beef in Europe's Eat Happy Group

Geographic expansion
Product updates

  • Canadian company Wamame Foods, a Top Tier Foods subsidiary and producer of the world’s first plant-based Waygu beef, has launched its ultra-premium Waygu meat in Germany's largest sushi chain, Eat Happy Group, marking its debut on the European market.

  • Eat Happy Group operates as individual restaurants or independent kiosks within major grocery store chains in over 2500 locations across six countries. Wamame aims to use this as a starting point for further expansion across Europe. Marketed as a premium alternative to beef, Waygu debuted in the US and Canada in 2022.

  • The introduction of the product in Europe coincides with Wamame Foods' partnership at the TED2023 flagship conference in Vancouver, providing an opportunity to showcase the product to a whole new audience of potential plant-based enthusiasts.
