  • Nanoramic Laboratories, a next-generation battery technology startup, reported that GM Ventures, the venture capital arm of General Motors, has made a strategic investment in the company. The amount invested was not disclosed.

  • The collaboration is set to focus on the joint development and application of Nanoramic's proprietary Neocarbonix at the Core electrode technology for EV lithium-ion batteries. GM reported that it aims to improve both cost and sustainability in battery manufacturing of its Ultium EV Platform through this partnership.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Similar to the above collaboration, Nanoramic partnered with  Avesta Battery & Energy Engineering (ABEE) in October 2022 to develop and commercialize advanced Li-ion batteries. The partnership also established the intent for a strategic partnership and commercial license of Nanoramic’s Neocarbonix at the Core electrode technology.
