Meat. The End unveils burger made from texturized chickpea protein

Product updates
FDA approval

  • Meat. The End (MTE), an Israeli startup that develops texturized protein ingredients, textured vegetable proteins, and plant-based meats, has developed a burger made from texturized chickpea protein, which the company claims is the world’s first. The product will be available later in 2023.

  • According to MTE, the burger has the taste and smell of meat along with a texture that resembles meat. MTE uses chickpea protein concentrate in powder or granular form, which undergoes an advanced extrusion process to transform the texture of plants into a meat-like texture.
