CarbonChain raises USD 10 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • CarbonChain, a British B2B carbon intelligence software startup, has raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Union Square Ventures and Voyager Ventures.

  • The company intends to use the funds to develop new carbon accounting and reporting solutions and to scale up its customer base across carbon-intensive value chains including manufacturing, commodities, and heavy industry.

  • CarbonChain also has plans to hire 30 new employees to support team expansion. Part of the proceeds will also be directed toward the opening of its New York office to support the expansion of the North American market segment.
