California-based genomics company Twist Bioscience Corporation has partnered with bioinformatics company Aster Insights to launch the AsterExome panel, a genetic analysis tool for cancer research.

The AsterExome panel has been integrated into Aster Insights' AVATAR program and enables whole exome sequencing with additional coverage of 620 cancer-associated genes. The panel uses data from the Total Cancer Care protocol, with more than 360,000 patients consenting to lifetime participation through the Oncology Research Information Exchange Network.

Twist Bioscience is a synthetic biology and genomics company whose proprietary technology involves "writing" DNA on a silicon chip, enabling faster and more cost-effective production of high-quality synthetic DNA. The company's product portfolio encompasses a wide range of synthetic DNA-based offerings, which include synthetic genes, tools specifically designed for next-generation sequencing (NGS) preparation, and antibody libraries that facilitate drug discovery and development.
