NextechAR subsidiary ARway has partnered with Magic Leap to integrate its AR navigation and wayfinding platform with the Magic Leap 2, expanding ARway's product usage beyond mobile phones.
ARway will create a software package for businesses in industries such as manufacturing, retail, and industrial markets. The package will allow companies to make and release large-scale, location-persistent AR experiences that can be used on Magic Leap 2 devices. The package will use ARway's computer vision and extended tracking technologies to provide hands-free immersive digital experiences that help to improve productivity.
Analyst QuickTake: In April 2023 , Magic Leap announced its support for the OpenXR protocol, an open standard that aims to standardize the development of AR and VR applications. The partnership also comes after ARway's announcement in January 2023 for the launch of its new Image Access Point technology, which uses computer vision to trigger AR experiences from brand images or logos, helping the company increase revenue from AR advertisements.
