Plus (formerly Plus.ai), an autonomous truck manufacturer, has announced a partnership with German multinational engineering and technology company Bosch to integrate its advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), PlusDrive, with the Bosch integrated steering systems.
L2++ trucks equipped with PlusDrive include a predictive 360-degree surround perception system and provide partial automation in order to assist drivers with acceleration, braking, and steering. PlusDrive’s automated driving features includes traffic jam assist, merge handling, driver-initiated and suggested lane change, over-the-air updates, lane nudge, sensor self-calibration, driver attentiveness, and detection. The system, when integrated with Bosch’s technology, enhances features such as driver retention, fuel economy savings, and assistance capabilities to help reduce accidents.
Bosch also offers advanced engineering services of its Bosch Engineering team for the combined solution offered to commercial vehicle truck manufacturers. The services offered include vehicle integration, security, and safety-related features.
