The EVERY Co partners with Alpha Foods to develop next-generation alternative meats

Partnerships

  • The EVERY Company (formerly Clara Foods), a developer of animal-free protein ingredients and eggs, has entered a joint development agreement with plant-based frozen-food startup Alpha Foods to collaborate on a new range of innovative alternative meat items.

  • Through the agreement, the companies aim to elevate the taste and texture of animal-free products by leveraging EVERY’s animal-free protein and Alpha Foods’ range of meatless meals.

  • According to EVERY Company, EggWhite, an egg white alternative developed through precision fermentation, offers binding and gelation qualities for alternative meat applications. This paves the way for meat analogs that closely resemble real meat while eliminating the need for synthetic binding agents such as methylcellulose.
