DroneUp partners with Wonder Robotics on precision technology for drone-based deliveries

Partnerships

  • DroneUp, a Virginia-based drone solutions provider, has conducted an initial operational assessment on DroneUp's drone platform in collaboration with Wonder Robotics, a startup offering autonomous solutions for drones and eVTOLs, aiming to improve the platform's autonomy and safety.

  • The technology provided by Wonder Robotics enable smart precision autonomous landing, accurate winch delivery, and advanced contingency plans for DroneUp’s drones. It also allows a single drone pilot to oversee multiple drone deliveries simultaneously, making it easier to scale drone-based delivery operations.

  • DroneUp plans to perform further operational flight tests to validate Wonder Robotics' technology in multiple areas.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership marks DroneUp’s third back-to-back product collaboration in recent times. The company announced plans to test its drones using hydrogen fuel-cell technology in April 2023 and partnered with Irsi Automation last week to integrate airspace awareness tech into its drones. We believe these combined developments will help the company scale operations in the future.
