AMP Robotics, a Colorado-based startup offering waste sorting robots, has raised an undisclosed amount from Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, bringing AMP’s Series C round to a total of more than USD 99 million.
The company intends to use the raised funds to expand its operations, which include retrofitting existing recycling infrastructure with technology solutions and developing new infrastructure using AI-powered automation.
Analyst QuickTake: The funding follows the launch of AMP Cortex-C , an AI-enabled automated sortation solution, and an integrated standalone facility for waste management firms. AMP Robotics previously raised USD 91 million in a Series C funding round in November 2022 to scale up its operations, which include increasing manufacturing capacity, developing technology for AI-powered automation applications for recycling, and expanding internationally.
