Rubies in the Rubble launches GBP 500,000 crowdfunding campaign

  • Rubies in the Rubble, a British producer of a range of products from mayos to ketchup made using food waste, has launched a GBP 500,000 (~USD 629,285) crowdfunding campaign to expand globally. As of date, the company has raised GBP 426,289 (~USD 536,514) with 23 days left in the campaign. The company also reported that it is offering 77.2% equity with shares priced at GBP 2.28 (~USD 2.87) each. 

  • The company is looking to use the funds to expand into supermarkets and grow internationally.

  • Rubies reports that its products are already used by major retailers and restaurants, including Waitrose, Tesco, and The Pig.
