Revolut, a UK-based neobank serving the B2C and B2B segments, has partnered with Upvest, a German-based FinTech infrastructure provider, to offer its European Economic Area (EEA) customers access to Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) securities on its trading platform.
Customers can now invest in over 150 ETFs on the platform with as little as EUR 1 through fractional shares. The ETFs offered on the platform include most of the major global indexes, such as the S&P 500, Nasdaq, DAX, and FTSE. Additionally, customers can create and monitor ETF watchlists, access trading charts, and stay up to date with market news within the app.
In addition, Revolut plans to add European-listed stocks and other trading products to its list of offerings in the upcoming months. Upvest is responsible for the brokerage, settlement, and custody infrastructure, as well as regulatory permissions through its German licenses.
Analyst QuickTake: To date, Revolut’s stock trading platform was only available to its US customers despite its cryptocurrency trading services being online in the US, UK, Singapore, and the EEA (launched in August 2022 ). Similar to Revolut, several other startups also offer an all-in-one app for both banking services and investing such as Stash Financial and Moneybox .
