JOLT Energy receives EUR 150 million investment from InfraRED

Funding

  • JOLT Energy, a company developing a network of fast EV chargers, has received a EUR 150 million (~USD 163 million) investment from InfraRed Capital Partners, an infrastructure investment company.

  • The company intends to use the finances to expand its operations and install ultra-fast charging stations in European and North American cities.

  • Founded in 2018, JOLT Energy is a Dublin and Munich-based Charge Point Operator (CPO) that offers ultra-fast charging to EV drivers. Due to the company’s infrastructure having up to 320 kW of output capacity, the company is able to provide   EVs up to 200 km of driving range in ten minutes. Furthermore, JOLT’s charging stations feature integrated battery storage, which enables them to connect to the standard, low voltage grid without the need for significant grid extensions.
