Babylon Micro-Farms, a Virginia-based producer of portable indoor farms, has received an investment from Virginia Venture Partners, the equity investment program of Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC).
The company will use this investment to continue its nationwide expansion.
Analyst QuickTake: Babylon Micro-Farms has continuously received financial support from Virginia Venture Partners, the most recent being their participation in Babylon's Series A funding round last month. The company has also received previous investments from Virginia Venture Partners in 2019 and 2021, as well as a grant from VIPC's Commonwealth Commercialization Fund (CCF) in 2021. As of date, Babylon Micro-Farms has deployed over 150 micro-farms (from 80 farms in May 2022) across 40 states and three countries, serving clients in the healthcare, education, and corporate dining sectors.
