Babylon Micro-Farms receives investment from Virginia Venture Partners

Funding

  • Babylon Micro-Farms, a Virginia-based producer of portable indoor farms, has received an investment from Virginia Venture Partners, the equity investment program of Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC).

  • The company will use this investment to continue its nationwide expansion.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Babylon Micro-Farms has continuously received financial support from Virginia Venture Partners, the most recent being their participation in Babylon's Series A funding round last month. The company has also received previous investments from Virginia Venture Partners in 2019 and 2021, as well as a grant from VIPC's Commonwealth Commercialization Fund (CCF) in 2021. As of date, Babylon Micro-Farms has deployed over 150 micro-farms (from 80 farms in May 2022) across 40 states and three countries, serving clients in the healthcare, education, and corporate dining sectors.
